mid·wife - /ˈmidˌwīf/ noun
Midwife literally means with woman.

I am blessed to be able to do work that I love!
As an autonomous maternity care provider, I have been certified by the North American Registry of Midwives (NARM) as a Certified Professional Midwife (CPM) and am a licensed midwife (LM) by the State of Washington. Midwives in Washington are able to obtain and administer life-saving medications as needed and I am current in NRP and CPR certifications. It is my belief that normal, physiologic birth can be empowering, positive, and safe. I subscribe to the Midwives Model of Care, which when summarized, means that I provide my clients with informed consent so that people are empowered to be the ultimate decision makers in their care. |

When you hire me as your midwife, you get:
- Complimentary Consultation ( Book a consult!) to answer any questions and ensure you are a good candidate for midwifery care. I am currently seeing clients for appointments in the comfort of their own homes or in an office I'm sharing with another midwife in Enumclaw, WA.
- Abundant resources available to provide support and answer questions, concerns, and provide referrals as needed.
- Regular prenatal care seeing you every four weeks until 28 weeks, every two weeks until 36 weeks, and then every week until delivery
- Standard testing options are available, including in office lab work and referrals for ultrasounds.
- Labor support during labor, birth and immediately postpartum is available for homebirth clients. Appropriate transfer of care or transport to hospital is available if the need arises.
- Postpartum visits at 24-48 hours at home, office visits at 7-14 days, 3 weeks, and 6-8 weeks postpartum.
Investment:
Midwives that are licensed in Washington State are allowed to accept insurance, and almost all insurance covers midwifery care. At your consultation, I can make a copy of your insurance information and send them to my biller to see what your expected out of pocket would be.
For some people who don't have insurance or do not have adequate coverage, paying cash or a barter/trade may be a preferable option. I offer significant discounts for paying cash or your expected out of pocket cost before 36 weeks.

Placenta Encapsulation
Placenta Encapsulation // $150.00
- I encapsulate with a raw method, dehydrating the placenta and grinding it into a fine powder which is put into capsules to easily consume. The use of steam method is used upon request.
- Consuming your placenta may increase emotional stability, provide hormonal balance, boost energy levels, increase milk supply, and gives your body nutritional support during the postpartum period.
- There are other methods to consume your placenta which can be added on for additional cost. These may include adding beneficial herbs to postpartum healing, creating a tincture using your placenta, or a salve for external, topical use. Please inquire about options, as we are happy to work with you about what would work best for you! Placenta print and/or cord keepsake also available upon request.
- I mean, Kim Kardashian did it. You can too!
